Delano Area Youth Hockey Association

2020-2021 Delano Area Youth Hockey Association

Welcome

Welcome

Welcome to the 2020-2021 Delano Area Youth Hockey Association.

All Board Members / Coaches / Team Managers / Locker Room Monitors(same gender as player) will need to obtain a USA Hockey number.  Please note that both the parent and all players must have their own USA Hockey numbers. Entering your player's USA Hockey in the parent field will delay the SafeSport certification reporting and could impact your player receiving a jersey.

Please note that the Volunteer check, background screening and SafeSport certification must be completed before jerseys will be distributed and should be completed before tryouts.

It would be very helpful to our volunteers if each family would register their oldest player first.

For the 2020 / 2021 hockey season, the birth dates for the various levels are noted below.

You must register first with USA Hockey and then return to this Registration Session to signup for the 2020-2021 season.

  • Step 1: CLICK HERE to go to USA Hockey Registration and register your player.
  • Step 2: Also on the USA Hockey website, register and get USA Hockey numbers for any parent/guardians who will be Board Members, Coaches, Team Managers or Locker Room Monitors.
  • Step 3: Return to this registration and proceed. Later in this registration session you will need to enter the USA Hockey Confirmation Codes that you received in Step 1 and Step 2.

To complete registration through our secure site, please have your Visa, MasterCard, Discover or PayPal account information available.

PLEASE NOTE:
There is a field on the Shopping Cart page for "Discount Code" - Delano Area Youth Hockey Association is not offering any discounts for this registration session.

Intro to Hockey Players - Additional Opportunity

At the younger level, DAYHA offers an Intro to Hockey level whereby the players will skate 12 Saturdays during the year.

There is another opportunity for your player to do a shorter session called One Goal, Learn to Skate and have the option to add the Intro to Hockey level if desired.

Below is an explanation of the One Goal, Learn to Skate program along with the registration link on the Delano Community Ed website.  If you register your player for One Goal, Learn to Skate and want to continue to the Intro to Hockey level, you will need to continue registration on this site.  Also, if you choose to sign your child up for the Intro to Hockey level and have played One Goal, Learn to Skate, you will be able to use the One Goal, Learn to Skate equipment for the entire season.  More detailed information will be provided at the One Goal, Learn to Skate parent meeting.

One Goal, Learn to Skate details:

Delano Area Youth Hockey Association (DAYHA) is again offering our One Goal, Learn to Skate Program.  This program is designed specifically for kids ages 4-8 who are looking for a high level introduction to hockey.  The on-ice sessions are designed to teach newcomers some basics of the game in a fun and safe environment.  All on-ice sessions are run by DAYHA coaches and student athletes.  On and off ice support is offered to teach kids how to get their equipment on, hold a stick and most importantly skate.  The program will offer a Q&A session designed to help parents and players understand the equipment, expectations of the program and additional opportunities to skate for the 2020-2021 season.  Equipment (excluding skates, stick, support and mouth guard) will be provided for families that are new to hockey and do not have their own equipment ($125.00 security deposit is required).
